Weddings & Engagement

Engagement

An engagement session makes a perfect add-on to a wedding package or stands by itself. Some couples do multiple engagement sessions and others choose not to do any. Engagement sessions give you options for including images as your wedding approaches and also on the wedding day. Common inclusions coming up to the wedding are a photo printed on save the date cards or a photo included with the wedding invitation. On your day itself engagement session photos are now often used as a coffee table-based guest book where guests actually get to sign on your images and it turns into a memento you’ll actually want to keep around, for wedding slideshows as guests are seating, or for mounted prints displayed on tables at the reception.

Weddings

Hyak Photography brings vision, creativity, and technology to bear on a handful of weddings during the summer and on limited weekends year round (mid-week is fantastic, by the way!). We have begun to lean heavily onto the photojournalistic style of wedding capture, with the goal of putting together coffee table books that tell the story of your wedding and are priced so that you really can have one out to show all of your friends. We feel that using the best creative mixture of unposed storytelling photos and a series of posed family portraits best captures the wedding as you will remember it.

Events

Rites of Passage

Quinceñeras, Bar or Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet 16 parties. Rites of passage into adulthood go by many different names in different cultures. Hyak Photography would be proud to be there to document one of the most momentous days in the life of your son or daughter.

Other Events

Hyak Photography is available and has experience in covering a variety of events in capacities such as general journalistic coverage, photo booth with or without on-site printing, and paparazzi-style coverage of a single person or group.

As every event, ceremony, or party is different, please contact us ahead of time for a consultation and estimate. Proof of insurance is required by some facilities and is available upon request.

Other Services

Hyak Photography is available for promotional headshots, advertising and editorial work, product photography, or other custom projects.

Projects are billed with a creative fee, incurred costs, and image licensing. Contact for estimate.

Prints

A variety of print options are available through both a professional lab, on demand press print service, and in-house museum archival grade printing including multiple gray inks for greater tonal range in black and white prints.

All print prices are a la carte, I believe that you should in no way be forced into taking 115 wallet prints because you want an 11×14 and a pair of 5x7s. Any size, including non-standard sizes, is available.
